- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Clare was awarded her medical degree by the University of Edinburgh (UK) and started clinical training and research in the UK before moving to Melbourne in 2008. There she undertook research with Prof. Stephen Tong in the Translational Obstetrics Group investigating circulating RNA in the maternal blood in a variety of pregnancy complications including pre-eclampsia, fetal growth restriction and intrapartum hypoxia. She has recently completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne, whilst continuing clinical training as an Obstetrician Gynecologist. Ongoing studies are aimed at preventing adverse pregnancy outcomes by understanding the mechanisms that lead to placental dysfunction and the development of biomarkers to identify these pregnancies.
