Sarah Holdsworth-Carson is a research fellow in the University of Melbourne's Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Women's Hospital (Melbourne). Since completing her PhD in pregnancy complications (2011) Sarah has worked on various projects with a gynaecological focus, including uterine fibroids and murine oviduct development. Sarah's current research interest is endometriosis, a complex and chronic disease that impacts 1 in 10 women. Her research is aimed at better characterising endometriotic lesions in attempt to identify novel and accurate biomarkers of disease.
